Summary
See Europe from a sailboat. With Irving Johnson, veteran of seven world trips around the world in two earlier Yankees, we visit France, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark. Battling swift Rhone river currents, climbing the locks of Central France through field of flowers, dodging a floating traffic jam of barges on the Rhine, or running aground on treacherous sands in the Frisian Islands, Johnson finds his way across Europe to the rougher waters of the Baltic sea.
